In the shop for repairs

^_^ I jest. Somebody compared me to being a cyborg at some point because of my pacemaker so, that's why the lame title is there.
I'll be heading to the hospital this afternoon. I have a "laser extraction" scheduled for 12:30 tomorrow, Thursday Novevmer 5th. With a little luck, I will be home Friday evening and back to class/work on Monday. The operation itself does not have me too worried though it is of moderate risk because they (the doctors) have to cut (or laser, I'm not really sure) into a major artery that leads into my heart. Though, they won't be messing with my heart. This time. I hope. *crosses fingers*
So, why am I having surgery yet again? Because, Medtronic sucks. They should be paying for it, but they won't. This dumb@$$ corporation deserves a page on ED for their antics. Medtronic produces pacemakers and various other important health devices, and at some point, about 10,000 defective lead wires were produced and used in un-knowing patients (Like ME). The alert was finally sounded after several people were hospitalized and a few (I am not sure how many if any) elderly patients died when their pacemakers misfired. Boy was that fun news. "Hey there heart patient. Are you doing well? Awesome. Turns out part of the device that's keeping you alive is a little bit defective. lol No worries folks. It will either a) shock the bejeezus out of your heart when you don't need it b) not shock the bejeezus out of your heart when you DO need it or c) function perfectly fine until you opt to get it replaced. Thanks for your time and contact your doctor for more information. And remember, Medtronic luvs u."
Yeeeahh...
Law suit anyone? Not likely. Least I haven't heard of any.
Anyways, now that I've ranted about that, moving on.
Wanted to post this in case there was anyone I'd forgotten to tell. It's nothing again YOU if I forgot to tell you. I just try not to think of these things when I'm happily chatting away with my friends.
